Rod Garland is the Founder & Principal of Rod Garland Consulting. He has been involved with the energy industry since 1975 when he immigrated from the UK. As a seismic surveyor and party manager, he worked for Teledyne Exploration throughout Canada including managing large 3D seismic surveys and drilling programs in the Beaufort Sea. He owned and operated a Survey Auditing and Services company for 5 years after which he represented Eagle Surveys Ltd for 6 years and then Bear Slashing Ltd for 14 years marketing their business to the geophysical industry. When Bear Slashing was acquired by Site Energy he continued as an employee in their business development division representing their full range of services including, pipeline construction, fabrication, surveying, environmental, piling, land clearing and drilling.

Rod has 40 years experience representing excellent, successful companies in the energy industry in Canada. He has been involved for 17 years as Director of the CAGC (Canadian Association of Geophysical Contractors) including Chair in 2007, and has represented the Geophysical Industry for 9 years as a Director with Energy Safety Canada formerly Enform, (the safety & training organization for the Upstream Oil & Gas Industry in Canada).
